As the current health concerns continue to force us to re-think our personal interactions and how and where we gather, I have made the difficult decision to cancel the May 2020 Reunion. I believe that we should act as prudently as possible and keep the health and safety of our members in the forefront. Our membership is within the prime target area of this virus so we should take all precautions to safeguard our brothers. I also have to consider the costs involved in putting on a Reunion. There are many fixed costs such as printing and mailing as well as meals. We also are not allowed to gather and use the Consistory building for practices and rehearsals. The secretary informs me that he is in possession of only 4 petitions and as the Blue Lodges are closed for the foreseeable future, I do not expect to receive any more. I believe we should look forward to the Fall Reunion where we can once again put on a quality Reunion that the Valley of Harrisburg is known for. As always, I appreciate the opportunity to serve as Commander-in-Chief of the Valley of Harrisburg and together we will get through this difficult time in unity.
